This bill authorizes the Secretary of Defense , acting through the Director of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA), to implement dual or concurrent enrollment programs for students attending DODEA schools. These programs would enable eligible high school students to enroll in postsecondary courses and earn credit applicable towards both a high school diploma and a postsecondary degree or credential. The Secretary is empowered to enter into arrangements with institutions of higher education to facilitate these programs. Furthermore, the bill allows for the provision of financial assistance to students to help cover the costs associated with participating in these dual or concurrent enrollment opportunities.
