This legislation aims to expand the scope of the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) by including additional geographic areas for claims related to exposure from Manhattan Project waste. Specifically, it amends Section 5A(d)(1) of RECA to add ZIP Codes 63106 and 63107 to the list of eligible locations. The inclusion of these ZIP Codes means that residents in these areas may now qualify for compensation under the Act for illnesses linked to radiation exposure.
