This legislation amends the International Organizations Immunities Act to extend specific privileges and immunities to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The bill allows these benefits to be granted to the GCC in the same manner and to the same extent as they are provided to other public international organizations in which the United States participates. It further authorizes the President to determine the terms and conditions for extending these privileges and immunities to the GCC and its members. These extended benefits are comparable to those enjoyed by diplomatic missions accredited to the United States and their members, subject to corresponding conditions and obligations, thereby enhancing the operational capacity and diplomatic standing of the Gulf Cooperation Council within the United States.
