This bill seeks to integrate the Classical Learning Test (CLT) into the admissions and assessment processes of specific educational institutions. It mandates that all military service academies , including those defined in title 10, United States Code, must accept CLT scores from applicants for admission. This ensures that the CLT is considered equally alongside the SAT and ACT for prospective cadets and midshipmen. Furthermore, the legislation extends the use of the CLT to certain federally-run secondary schools . Specifically, it requires schools operated by the Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) to administer the CLT to all students in the eleventh grade. Similarly, schools funded or operated by the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) are also mandated to administer the CLT to their eleventh-grade students, thereby standardizing its use across these federal educational systems.
