This bill specifically grants Valent Kolami eligibility for an immigrant visa or adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident. This provision is made notwithstanding subsections (a) and (b) of section 201 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which typically impose numerical limitations on immigrant visas. Should Valent Kolami enter the United States before the specified application deadline, they will be considered to have entered and remained lawfully, becoming eligible for adjustment of status as of the bill's enactment date. The special eligibility granted by this Act is contingent upon the filing of an application for an immigrant visa or adjustment of status, along with appropriate fees, within two years after the date of the bill's enactment.
