The "Pay Our Troops Act of 2025" aims to ensure that members of the Armed Forces, along with critical supporting personnel, continue to receive pay and allowances during any potential government shutdown in fiscal year 2025. This legislation specifically appropriates funds from the Treasury for periods when interim or full-year appropriations are not in effect. It covers active duty service members , including reserve components, who perform active service. Additionally, it provides for the pay and allowances of civilian personnel and contractors of the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security (for the Coast Guard) who are determined to be providing direct support to these service members. The appropriations made available by this Act are designed to terminate upon the enactment of a regular appropriation for the same purpose, or by January 1, 2026, whichever occurs first.
